Data Aggregation
Addepar currently integrates with over 3,600 financial service providers to aggregate assets across every asset class and type of institution. Addepar automatically imports positions, cost bases, and dividends—with multi-currency support—and other pertinent information without relying on spreadsheets or manual data entry.
In addition to online assets reporting, Addepar has partnered with Project Babel to provide a frictionless solution to traditionally cumbersome illiquid fund reporting. Project Babel is the collaborative mission of high-net worth investors, influential fund managers, and technology experts to increase transparency, security, and efficiency in fund performance reporting. Integrating with Project Babel allows funds to report their performance in a secure electronic format automatically incorporated into Addepar.
Reconciliation is provided through a state of the art machine learning interface which is augmented by human intervention when necessary. The reconciliation process learns from previous ambiguity and gets better as more transactions are processed.
Accounting
Addepar has a world class general ledger capable of handling the most rigorous of use cases. We've
designed our ledger to be flexible enough to handle a variety of legal entities and structures as well as trusts and foundations. Addepar has full support for traceable journal entries, sub accounting, nested accounted and multiple currencies.
Addepar makes it easy to track your portfolio level accounting. Our dynamic architecture allows us to seamlessly incorporate portfolio accounting into your general workflows. Since Addepar tracks and monitors every asset class and vehicle it's easy to account for multiple brokerages, banks, custodians, illiquid investments, hedge funds, venture funds, direct investments and other alternative assets. Another benefit of aggregating across custodians and brokers is the ability to track Wash Sales and Basis Transfers. Addepar's flexible structure allows you to define your choice of inventory method.
Reporting
Addepar includes a robust reporting engine. Reports are customizable, automated, and may be exported in a variety of formats for distribution or internal analysis. Instead of building spreadsheets and hiring analysts to spend hours in the back office, investors and advisors gain an immediate and intuitive grasp of their holdings and liquidity profiles. The system guides users through ways to explore risks and ask sophisticated, relevant questions. Reports show multiple levels of detail, accurately rolling-up performance for individual legal entities, accounts and the total portfolio. In addition to individual portfolios, reports can also be created to show multigenerational and family wealth.
Total Portfolio Dashboard
Addepar allows you to intuitively view and navigate your aggregated assets. Information is presented in real time, next to contextually relevant charts, graphs and metrics. The dashboard allows you to filter, sort and calculate your performance in a lightweight but powerful manner. You can easily sort and analyze based on quantitative performance metrics or add custom qualitative metrics.
Client Management Center
Addepar provides both an online data vault and an alert center to help monitor and track important client events. The Addepar File Vault is a secure online repository for important documents relating to your client and their investments. It's easy to store and find documents, track their relationship to assets and share them with clients.
Addepar also includes a message and alert center to highlight important activities within a client's portfolio. Addepar can track and alert you to expiring options, bond laddering maturity dates, CD rollover periods, and other investment decisions that require client input.
Asset Allocation, Scenario Analysis & Compliance
Addepar was built to bring qualitative analysis to financial advisors. It blends the needs and
circumstances of clients with their unique biases and beliefs. Asset allocations are constructed and compared according to an individual's risk tolerance and objectives. Addepar also incorporates a variety of stress tests that highlight the potential weaknesses of a portfolio.
Client profiles are not limited to traditional financial metrics. Complex scenario analysis incorporates clients' and analysts' outlooks into the asset allocation process. Addepar provides investment models based on risks associated with various macroeconomic views and predictions, and generates ad-hoc recommendations. Potential weaknesses of portfolios are easily identified and addressed.
