Engineering-Driven Culture
Addepar's foundation is built on the belief that a great teammate is exponentially more effective than an average one, and that success results when the best and brightest collaborate. Our team is skilled in multiple areas: machine learning, distributed systems, information retrieval, and data visualization.
We dress comfortably at the office, eat together, and play team sports together. We've been known to throw impromptu midnight parking-lot BBQs (we built a bonfire once, but it didn't end well) and host movie nights in back of our building. Every Thursday evening, we break away from work to play a game of Innovation, Settlers of Catan, Dominion, or one of the many other games in the engineering pit.
Away from the office, we have our own basketball and soccer teams in the local leagues, we also frequently play pick-up games at the nearby courts. During the summers, we'll head out of the office early for a bonfire at the beach or for a longer break, hit up a lake house in Tahoe. For the ones with snow on their mind, there's the annual Addepar Ski Trip supplemented by frequent weekend trips. Join us.
